Cycle the Nile 2005
In October 2005 I took
part in a 400km cycle ride along the banks of the River Nile for The Women
for Women Appeal.
The Women for Women Appeal,
headed by Professor Robert Winston, is raising funds to train women
scientists and clinicians, empowering more women to lead in this field.
They will work in the research centre to improve prevention, diagnosis and
treatment of a range of devastating conditions which cause miscarriage,
genetic diseases, infertility and cancer. The fundamental aim is to
improve women's health and to ensure that more women have a normal
pregnancy with a healthy baby. |
